Zoom's native cloud recording is a per-host feature with storage caps and rigid retention. Luni records every meeting you send it to, regardless of who hosts, and keeps the recording in your workspace tied to your retention policy.
Word-level diarisation maps every utterance to the speaker who said it, using Zoom's roster as the ground truth. Search for what someone said, jump to the timestamp, share a quote — all from the meeting detail page.

Do I need a Zoom Pro account for Luni to work?
No. Luni joins any Zoom meeting you can post a guest link to — Free, Pro, Business, Enterprise. The host doesn't need to grant Luni any special permissions; it joins as a regular participant.
Can Luni record a Zoom meeting if I'm not the host?
Yes. As long as you can join the meeting and you have permission to bring a colleague, you can bring Luni. The bot announces itself in the participant list as 'Luni Notetaker' (or your custom name on Pro+) so attendees know recording is active.
Is Zoom's native recording feature replaced?
Not necessarily — they coexist. Some teams keep Zoom cloud recording for compliance archiving and use Luni for the searchable transcript + recap workflow. Luni's recording lives in your Luni workspace under your retention policy; Zoom's stays in Zoom under theirs.
Does Luni work with Zoom webinars?
Webinars are different from regular Zoom meetings — guests can't join the way they do in standard meetings. Luni supports standard Zoom meetings, Zoom Phone calls, and most Zoom-hosted formats; webinars are on the roadmap for the public release.
What happens if the meeting host removes Luni?
If the host kicks the bot, Luni leaves cleanly and the partial recording up to that point is finalised, transcribed, and emailed as normal. You'll see a flag on the meeting indicating early termination so you know it's not a complete capture.
