AI notetaker for interviews.
Candidate screens, technical interviews, debrief loops. Luni records the conversation, returns a structured summary, and lets your hiring team review without sitting through 45 minutes of video.
Sound familiar?
- · Note-taking during a screen means missing the next answer the candidate gives
- · Hiring team debriefs run long because nobody can quote what the candidate actually said
- · ATS notes fields that get filled in 4 hours after the call from fading memory
- · Calibrating with hiring managers is hard when only one person was in the room
How it actually works.
Candidate's actual words, attributed to them, indexed by timestamp. Hiring committee can see exactly how the candidate framed an answer rather than relying on the recruiter's interpretation.
Decisions, candidate strengths, areas to probe further, commitments made. Recap is short enough that the hiring panel reads it before debrief — a meaningful change from 'who has time to watch the recording?'
Pro+ AskMeeting search lets you query the whole interview corpus. 'Which candidates mentioned distributed systems experience?' returns the candidates with the exact quote.
Candidate-erasure flow at request, retention bound by your tier so old screens don't pile up indefinitely. Encrypted at rest.
Luni joins as a named participant. Candidates know recording is active. Most modern candidates expect this; for the rest, 'we'll have an AI notetaker on the call to capture our conversation' fits in your interview-prep email cleanly.
Things people ask.
Is recording interviews legal in the UK / EU?
Recording for legitimate hiring purposes is broadly legal under UK GDPR / GDPR provided candidates are informed (Article 13). Luni's bot announces itself; we recommend mentioning the AI notetaker in your interview confirmation email for clarity. Local laws vary — check your jurisdiction.
What if a candidate asks not to be recorded?
You decline to bring Luni into that interview. The bot is host-controlled — if you don't add it, it's not there. We'd recommend respecting any candidate who asks; consent matters more than a recap.
Can Luni filter out PII before sharing the recap?
Not currently — recap is shared as-written. PII redaction in transcripts is on the roadmap; in the meantime, treat recordings the way you'd treat any candidate documentation under your data-handling policy.
Does Luni work for technical interviews where someone is sharing screen + writing code?
Yes. The recording captures audio + screen share. Code-quality assessment is still a human judgement call — Luni captures what was discussed about the code, not the code itself, but having the verbal context attached to the candidate's debugging out-loud is genuinely useful.
